Yes, several schools have made correct choices not to take up divestment resolutions proposed by their student bodies, including Amherst, Columbia, Williams, and others. Brown fouled up this process by promising a vote that eviscerates the proper procedural structure if the students would get off the Main Green last spring. It set a terrible precedent of caving to the demands of students openly breaching policy. I fear this fall will be a difficult semester at Brown.
